1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 can sliced peaches, drained
6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
HOW TO MAKE PEACH CAKE:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease an 9 inch glass baking dish or pan.
Combine melted butter and brown sugar. Pour over into the the dish.
Arrange peach slices on the base of the baking dish.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Beat softened butter and the sugar using electric beater until creamy.
Continue beating while adding the eggs gradually.
Add the vanilla extract and sour cream.
Fold in the flour mixture into the butter mixture until well combined.
Transfer the mixture over the peaches and smooth the surface.
Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick or skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove from the oven. Cool for few minutes.
Invert the cake onto a flat plate.
Serve warm at room temperature.
