2 cups glutinous rice flour
1 pack (115 grams) purple yam powder
1 1/4 cups water
margarine or butter
HOW TO MAKE PUTO BUMBONG:
Prepare steamer with enough water for steaming.
In a large bowl, combine purple yam powder and glutinous rice flour.
Mix together until well combined.
Gradually add the water to make a dough.
Knead until smooth.
Using your hands make a ball and roll into long shape, about 4-5 inches long.
Spread margarine or butter in a heat proof plate and layer the dough.
Steam for 5 minutes or until done.
Brush some margarine or butter then roll in shredded coconut and serve with brown sugar.
