​Puto with Cheese

INGREDIENTS:
  • 500 grams all purpose flour (sifted )
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 40 grams baking powder (sifted) 
  • 80 grams buttered milk powder (alaska powder)
  • 1 tsp bread softener (optional)
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup oil 
  • cheddar cheese cut into thin strips for toppings​

​​HOW TO PREPARE:
  • Get all the dry ingredients and mix them in a bowl.
  • Add the water. Dissolve all the ingredients.
  • Add the cooking oil ( I used canola oil)
  • Continue mixing until you achieve a smooth texture. 
  • Transfer the mixture into the little puto molds.
  • Rest the batter mixture for 30 mins before steaming.
  • Add the thin strips of cheese on top. 
  • Steam for 10 to 15 mins on medium heat.
  • Enjoy :)​

*** Recipe yields 35-38 pieces.
