Bread Pudding

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 cups milk 
  • 1 cup all-purpose cream 
  • 3 cups white bread, day-old, cubed 
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten 
  • 2 tablespoons butter,melted 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

PROCEDURE:
  • Preheat oven to 350 F. 
  • Grease an 8x8 baking dish.  
  • In a saucepan, heat milk and all-purpose cream until warm. 
  • Soak bread in warm milk mixture for a few minutes.  
  • In another bowl, combine sugar,eggs, melted butter, salt and vanilla. 
  • Mix well until thoroughly combined. 
  • Mix in soaked bread and blend well. 
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake over a water bath (bain-marie or baño Maria)until set, about an hour.
  • Let cool. ~~ENJOY!~~
