Crispy Fried Chicken

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/2 - 2 lbs chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Oil, for frying, preferably peanut oil

Choice of Dipping sauce:
  • Gravy
  • Sarsa ni Mang Thomas
  • Banana Ketchup 
  • Ranch 
 

​HOW TO PREPARE CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN:
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper. 
  • Dip the seasoned chicken in the egg, and then coat well with flour.
  • Heat the oil to 350 degrees F in a deep pot.
  • Do not fill the pot more than 1/2 full with oil.
  • Note: If you do not have a gadget to check the temp of the oil, just make sure that the oil is hot enough before dropping the chicken. If not, your chicken will be oily. 
  • Deep fry in oil until crisp and brown.
  • Enjoy!
