Kutsinta Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp lye water
  • atsuete powder for coloring (annato powder)

HOW TO PREPARE KUTSINTA:
  • Mix flour and sugar.
  • Add water and mix properly making sure that there is no more lumps left . 
  • Dissolve atsuete in a little bit of hot water with lye water then mix it with the flour mixture.
  • If you are not happy with the color you can add more atsuete. 
  • Put the mixture in a little round container and steam for 20 minutess in low fire.
