Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Quaker Oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 cups raisins

Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy.

Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well.

Add eggs, vanilla and combined flour.

Stir in oats and raisins. Mix well.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.

HOW TO PREPARE OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES:
  • Heat oven to 350 deg F. 
  • Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Set aside.
  • Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy. 
  • Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Add combined flour.
  • Stir in oats and raisins. Mix well.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
