​Brownie Bites

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 stick / 1 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar​ ​

HOW TO PREPARE BROWNIE BALLS:
  • Beat brown sugar, shortening and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  • Beat in eggs.
  • Stir together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda in small bowl.
  • Gradually add to shortening mixture, beating just until blended.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Cover and chill for 2 hours.
  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Form dough into balls. Roll in sugar, then in powdered sugar, to coat completely.
  • Place 1-2 inches apart on baking sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes or until brownie balls are set.
  • Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
  • Remove brownie balls to wire tack to cool completely.​
