Champorado

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 3 1/2 cups water (add more if needed)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla
  • condensed milk for topping

​HOW TO PREPARE CHAMPORADO:
  • Rinse the rice until water runs clear. 
  • In a pot, boil the rice and water. 
  • Bring to a boil, cook in low heat for about 15 minutes (or until the glutinous rice is cooked) while constantly stirring. 
  • Add the cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and top with condensed milk.
  • Enjoy!
