Chocolate Crinkles Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Cocoa Powder - I used Hershey's
  • 1  3/4 cups granulated sugar 
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature  
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • powdered sugar for coating

​INSTRUCTIONS: (Watch my Video how I prepared this Recipe in YouTube. 
  • ​​Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • On a separate bowl, mix together cocoa powder, sugar and vegetable oil.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. 
  • Add in flour mixture. Mix until well combined.
  • Cover the dough and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
  • Scoop 1 tbsp of dough and shape into balls by using our palm. ​

  • Coat in powdered sugar then place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper spacing them 2-inches apart. 
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until nearly set - they should be soft when touched and should appear slightly under-baked. 
  • Allow to cool a minute or two on the sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy :)
*Recipe yields 34-35 pcs.

​TIPS: 
  • Remove about 1/4 of the dough from the refrigerator at a time to work with and let remaining chill. 
  • ​They should be soft when touched and should appear slightly under-baked. 
  • You can store cookies in an airtight container. ​
