Cinnamon-Spiced Peach Turnovers

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1 can (12 or 15 ounces) peach slices, drained & diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 (7.3-ounce) package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (2 sheets), thawed
  • granulated sugar

  • *** You may substitute 2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced, for the canned peach slices

PROCEDURE:
  • Heat the oven to 375°F.  
  • Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork.  
  • Stir the peaches, brown sugar, flour, vanilla extract and butter in a bowl. 
  • Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.  Divide or cut the pastry sheet into 4 equal squares. 
  • Brush the corners of each pastries with egg wash. 
  • Spoon the peach mixture lengthwise down the center of the pastry. 
  • Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges with a fork.
  • With a sharp knife or clean cutter, make some slashes across the top of the pastries.
  • Transfer the pastries into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the top with egg wash. 
  • Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Enjoy your yummy Peach Turnovers!
