Coconut Macaroons Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 cups sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract

HOW TO PREPARE MACAROONS: 
  • Preheat oven to 325 deg F.
  • Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoons, 1 inch apart, on prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake until set and lightly golden, about 25 minutes.
  • Cool cookies on cookie sheets for 1 minute.
  • Transfer cookies to racks to cool completely.
  • Enjoy! 

*** I prepared regular and chocolate macaroons:
  • After combining all the recipes together, divide the mixture in two.
  • Stir 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder and grated 1/2 square (.5 ounce) semisweet baking chocolate into the other mixture.​
