Buchi

Buchi or Sesame balls are made from glutinous rice flour dough that are filled with sweet fillings, rolled in sesame seeds and deep fried. This was first try making Buchi and I used red bean paste in a can that I bought from an Asian market. Cooking the Red Beans or Mung Beans takes a process and I find the one in can tastes the same anyway and saves a lot of time. If you would like to make it from scratch, boil enough water in a pan, add the mung beans and cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the beans are soft then add sugar according to your liking. |
