Fried Tofu Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 package firm or extra firm tofu
  • cornstarch or all purple flour for coating
  • cooking oil for frying

Dipping Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chili sauce (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbsp onion chopped

HOW TO PREPARE FRIED TOFU: 
  • Open your package of tofu, drain, and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. 
  • Cut the tofu into uniform chunks. 
  • Dredge your tofu pieces lightly in corn starch, making sure to dust off any excess. 
  • Heat cooking oil in a deep pan.
  • Fry the tofu until light brown.
  • Remove "done" pieces to drain on a paper towel. 
  • Serve while hot and crispy! 

NOTE: *** You can also use a ready made chili sauce if you don't like soy sauce. 

DIPPING SAUCE:
  • Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
