Wonton Soup
shared by
Jessica Cornelia
INGREDIENTS:
20-25 pcs wonton balls (ready made in the frozen isle - I used pork & shrimp flavor)
2 chicken breast
4 cups water
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, minced
2 stalks green onion, chopped
1 pc chicken cube
salt & pepper to taste
cooking oil
*** If you would like to make wonton balls from scratch, use pinoycookingrecipes'
pork siomai
recipe but make sure to use wonton wrapper.
PROCEDURE:
Boil chicken breast in 4-5 cups of water. Shred the chicken (set aside) and reserve 4 cups of broth.
In large pot, saute garlic in cooking oil.
Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the shredded
chicken breast and cook for few minutes.
Add in the broth and water. Let it simmer then add the chicken broth.
Add the wonton balls. Stir occassionally (very gently), until the wontons float.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the green onions.
Enjoy your hot soup!
