Pork Siomai Recipe

​​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 3/4 cup onion (minced)
  • 3/4 cup carrots (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • wonton or siomai wrapper  
DIPPING SAUCE:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi

HOW TO MAKE SIOMAI:
  • Combine all the ingredients together except the wrapper.
  • Wrap the meat in wanton wrapper by placing about 1 tbsp of meat in the center of the wrapper then press all the sides to the middle leaving an open space on top.  (See pictures)
  • Place all the wrapped meat in the steamer.
  • Steam for 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve with dipping sauce. 
  • Serve while warm. 
  • You can also deep fry your Siomai until golden brown. Please see photo below :)
