Beef Siomai

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1  1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup carrots (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • siomai wrapper

DIPPING SAUCE:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi​
Note: You can use pork, beef, chicken or any meat you like ;)

HOW TO MAKE SIOMAI:
  • Combine all the ingredients together except the wrapper.
  • Wrap the meat in siomai wrapper by placing about 1 tbsp of meat in the center of the wrapper then press and seal with water all the sides to the middle leaving an open space on top.  (See pictures above).
  • Place all the wrapped meat in the steamer.
  • Steam for 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve with dipping sauce. 
  • Serve warm. Enjoy!
TIPS:
To avoid sticking, brush the steamer with some oil.)
You can also deep fry or pan fry your Siomai until golden brown. Don't forget the dipping sauce. Enjoy!
