Burger Steak

Burger steak got famous when Jollibee , which is Philippines' famous fast food restaurant started selling one.
Who would've thought a burger patty with a gravy sauce with mushrooms paired with hot steamed rice would be a hit? Yes, it 's good that's why I made this recipe. I have to be honest, who can match Jollibees' gravy recipe. I wish I know their secret ingredients. But at least this one is close enough and I know you will love it.
The picture below was the very first time I made it.  (When smart phones were not smart yet.)  :)

For the burger patties, make sure not to use a super lean meat. You want some fats on it to make it tender and juicy. I used a burger patty maker but if it is not available, you can always do it by hand by scooping 1/4 cup of mixture, roll into a ball then flatten using your palm. For me, it is too much work and when I found this patty maker or presser, it made the shaping faster, easier and saved me a lot of time. See how cheap it is. Please see Amazon link on the right or below.  There are so many choices for a burger patty presser available in the market but this is the cheapest I found. If you are here in the US and Bed, Bath & Beyond is in your area, they also have it.
