Torta is a popular baked product in Cebu and all of Visayas region of our country. It is kind of similar to Mamon but Mamon is lighter and CebuTorta is more densed and almost like a Pound Cake. Like the Bibingka, the Torta has already been made available in different variations and in different tastes in various places across the entire country.
These little cakes baked in torta or bioche molds are so delicious and smell so good because of the star anise that I added. Buttery and a little toasty on the edges. Perfect with hot tea or coffee. Try it and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Enjoy!
