There are so many varieties of gelatin powder in the market today. Make sure to follow the packaging preparation instructions. Some are too strong and requires more water than others. The Filipino brands are lighter and one packet of 25g gelatin (Mr. Gulaman) is good enough with 5-6 cups water. While some brands like the 25g (Thai Agar Agar powder) requires 12 cups of water. So please check the brand you are using and adjust accordingly.
