Maruya is a Filipino snack composed of sliced saba bananas coated in batter then pan fried until golden.
It is also called banana fritters.

For this recipe, ripe saba bananas were mashed mixed with batter then coated in egg and bread crumbs to make it crispy. As an optionyou can also add any filling that you like e.g. marshmallows, cubed cheese,  chocolate chips or even Nutella. You can also leave it plain. It's up to you.
