Chocolate lover? How about Rocky Road flavor fan? And, did you grow up with Milo a regular chocolate powder in your pantry? If you are, then this Milo Rocky Road Popsicle is right for you. Yes, we're using Milo and not cocoa powder to make this summer treat.
Super easy, simple yet very tasty and most important, with just the right amount of sweetness which is an advantage when making your own ice cream at home.
Why Milo? Milo has this great chocolate flavor. Not bitter and makes a great chocolate drink especially when added with milk.

For this recipe, warm the milk and stir-in Milo. Let cool completely before adding whipping cream and condensed milk. Stir until fully incorporated then pour on plastic cups or popsicle molds. Add chocolate chips, peanuts and marshmallows then pour chocolate milk mixture. Cover with foil, make a slit on the foil fit enough to insert food-grade popsicle sticks. Freeze and that's it! You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less condensed milk. Super easy isn't it?

Procedure:
  • In a medium sauce pan, heat the milk. Do not boil. Once heated, stir-in chocolate powder. Mix until fully incorporated and powder is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Once cooled, transfer to a large bowl. Add whipping cream and condensed milk.  Whisk until well combined.
  • Fill the clear plastic cups ( I used 3oz disposable cups) with chocolate chips, peanuts and marshmallows then pour chocolate milk mixture.
  • Cover with a foil, make a small slit on the center and insert food grade popsicle sticks.
  • Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.  Remove from freezer and thaw for about 3 minutes before unmolding from the cups. To unmold, press all the sides of the cup to loosen up and push the bottom to release. Serve and enjoy!
  • Recipe yields about 12-15 popsicles.
