This Chinese stir-fried dish is made from pork tenderloin, pineapple chunks, bell peppers and onion with a sweet and tangy sauce. A delicious homemade dish that is better than take out.
Pork tenderloins will need to be marinated for few hours first and when ready, a batter similar to a pancake mix consistency is needed to make a crispy coating for the pork tenderloins. It's a combination of flour, cornstarch, salt and beaten egg.
The sweet & sour sauce is very easy to make. Just combine pineapple juice from the pineapple chunks in can, water, brown sugar, salt and banana sauce / ketchup.
And as usual, we need a sauce thickener which is a cornstarch diluted in water.
