Ingredients:

• 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced 

Marinade:

• 1 tsp calamansi or lemon
• 1 tbsp all purpose flour
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• 1/2 tsp ground pepper
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 egg​

Sauce Ala King:

• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/4 cup carrots, chopped
• 1 pc chicken cube
• 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup evaporated milk
• 1 cup all purpose cream
• salt and pepper to taste

Topping & Coating:

• spring onions (optional)
• bread crumbs

​Procedure:

• ​Combine marinade ingredients. Add to sliced chicken breasts and mix until well distributed. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. 
• In sauce pan, add butter and cook until melted
• Add carrots. Saute' for 1 minute.
• Add the chicken cube and cook until chicken cube has dissolved.
• Combine all purpose and water. Stir well then add into the pan.
• Add evaporated milk and all purpose cream. Continue mixing until sauce ingredients are well combined.
• Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook until sauce has slightly thickened. 
• While sauce is simmering, coat the marinated chicken with bread crumbs.
• Fry until golden brown. 
• Top with sauce ala king. 
• Sprinkle with green onions if desired.
• Serve immediately with hot steamed rice. 
• Enjoy.
