Chocolate Crinkles

These Chocolate Crinkles are soft, chewy and fudgy! Irresistible brownie in the center and a light crunch cookie on the outside. Why is it called crinkle? The name comes from their distinctive crackle/crinkle top. The dough balls generously rolled in powdered sugar is transformed into cookies with snow covered look. Chocolate Crinkles Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 
• 1  3/4 cups granulated sugar 
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 4 large eggs, room temperature  
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• powdered sugar for coating

Procedure:

• Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
• On a separate bowl, mix together cocoa powder, sugar and vegetable oil.
• Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. 
• Add in flour mixture. Mix until well combined.
• Cover the dough and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
• Preheat oven to 350 F.
• Scoop 1-2 tbsp of dough and shape into balls by using your palm. 
• Coat in powdered sugar then place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or baking mat spacing them 1-2 inches apart. 
• Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until nearly set - they should be soft when touched and should appear slightly under-baked. 
• Allow to cool a minute or two on the sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
• Serve and enjoy :)
