Fruit cocktail jelly

​Impress your family and friends with this homemade Fruit Cocktail Jelly. Another colorful treat you can easily make. Perfect for cooling down from a hot day or a great dessert you can serve at a party or potlucks. You can also serve it as an after meal fruit dessert. I know for sure you will enjoy every bite of this delicious dessert. 
You can use any container you have available. Llanera or flan molds and gelatin molds were used on this recipe.

Mr. Gulaman brand was used to make this jelly. Please know that every brand has different water dilution requirements so please make sure to consider checking the package instruction if using other brand. ​

fruit cocktail jelly recipe

Ingredients:
  • ​1 can, 825 g Fruit cocktail
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 pack 25 g unflavored red gelatin powder
  • 1 cup reserved syrup from fruit cocktail
  • 1 can, 12 oz / 370 ml evaporated milk
  • 1 can, 14 oz /  250 grams condensed milk
Note: Mr. Gulaman brand was used on this recipe. If using other brand, please make sure to follow package directions.

Procedure:
  • Drain canned fruit cocktail and reserve the syrup.
  • Transfer fruit cocktail into the prepared molders. Llanera, gelatin molds or any container can be used.
  • In a large bowl, combine reserved syrup, evaporated milk and condensed milk. Whisk until well combined. Set aside.
  • In a pot, dissolve gelatin powder in 2 1/2 cups water. Cook over medium heat. Continue stirring until the mixture is steaming hot (not boiling). 
  • Lower the heat then add milk mixture while stirring.
  • Turn back the heat to medium and bring to a simmer.
  • Transfer into the prepared molds with fruit cocktail.
  • Let it cool to set and refrigerate. 
  • Remove from molds and serve.
  • Enjoy.
