Meaty and Cheesy Lasagna Roll Ups

These Lasagna roll ups are cheesy, meaty, gooey and an elegant way to serve in individual portions. They not only look incredible but they taste incredible as well.

​The process is simple: cook the noodles, prepare the meat sauce and the cheese sauce. Line up the cooked noodles and fill with the sauces. Roll them up and arrange in a 13 x 9 pan, top with more mozzarella cheese, cover and bake.

Ingredients:

• 12 pieces lasagna noodles

Meat Sauce:

• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 small onion, sliced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 jar or can (26 oz) pasta sauce 
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp ground pepper
• 2-3 tbsp cooking oil for sauteing

​Cheese Sauce:

• 1 cup ricotta cheese
• 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese + 1 cup for topping
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
• 1 egg 
• 1/8 tsp ground pepper
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp dried basil

Procedure:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 
• Cook noodles according to package instructions. Set aside.
• In a large pan, saute garlic and onion in cooking oil.
• Add ground beef and cook until color turns brown. Season with salt and pepper.
• Add pasta sauce. Simmer for 5-8 minutes. Set aside.
• In a large bowl combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, pepper and basil.​

• Spoon cheese mixture and meat evenly into a lasagna noodle, roll up tightly.
• Add a small amount of meat with sauce on a 13 x 9 baking dish.
• Arrange the rolled lasagna (seam down).
• Pour remaining pasta sauce over rolled lasagna noodles.
• Sprinkle top with mozzarella cheese.
• Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.
• Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.
• Remove from oven. Enjoy :)
