A quick and easy Beef Stroganoff with tender strips cooked with cream of mushrooms soup, sour cream and milk served over noodles.  Any dish that requires cream of mushroom soup delivers rich flavor and creaminess.

beef stroganoff recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or round steak, cut into strips
  • 2-4  cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can, 10.5 ozcream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup whole milk or 2% reduced fat
  • 1/ 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/3 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp parsley, fresh or dried
  • cooking oil for sauteing
  • egg noodles (cooked according to package directions)

Procedure:
  • Heat cooking oil in a non-stick pan.
  • Add the beef. Cook until well browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Using the same pan, add a small amount of cooking oil.
  • Add the garlic and saute' until fragrant.
  • Add the onion and cook until tender.
  • Stir the soup, milk, paprika and black pepper. Heat to boil.
  • Stir in the sour cream or plain yogurt.
  • Return the beef to the pan and cook for another 3-5 minutes. 
  • Serve over the prepared noodles. 
  • Sprinkle with parsley.
