no bake custard macaroons

Custard Macaroons also called Lecheroons or Custaroons is a dessert richer than a regular coconut macaroon. Bottom half of the cupcake is creamy custard and moist coconut macaroon on top.

These custard macaroons are super easy to make and take note you can steam them. Perfect for those who doesn't have an oven and will get to enjoy macaroons. But they can also be baked at 325 F for 12-15 minutes using water bath method (placing mold under a tray with water) until top is golden.

Custard macaroons recipe

Ingredients:
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 can, 14 oz (397 grams) condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup dessicated coconut
Tools needed:
  • Cupcake molds
  • Cupcake liners
  • Steamer

Procedure:
  • Prepare steamer and boil 1 litter of water.
  • Whisk eggs then add condensed milk. 
  • Add butter and vanilla. Whisk until well combined.
  • Stir-in dessicated coconut.  
  • Transfer batter to molds lined with cupcake liners.
  • Steam for 12-15 minutes.
  • Insert toothpick to test for doneness. Toothpick should come out clean.
  • Remove from steamer and cool on wire rack.
  • Recipe yields 12-13 pieces custard macaroons.

I like your pinoy recipe coz even if you have no oven but still you can bake thru steamer. Very beautiful thank you.
