one pan cheesy chicken pasta

There are so many chicken cheese pasta recipes out there. Many recipes requires baking but this recipe doesn't. Perfect for those who doesn't own an oven. It is easy to make. Mouthwatering and loaded with cheese. One pan is all you need. Like I said, no baking required. Simple and a great dinner for the family. 
​Store-bought pasta sauce was used for this recipe. You can choose any sauce you prefer. Be it traditional, marinara, tomato basil, meat, cheese or Filipino sweet spaghetti sauce.  It will be up to you. ​

I used a store-bought pasta sauce for this recipe. You can choose any sauce you prefer. Be it traditional, marinara, tomato basil, three cheese or Filipino sweet spaghetti sauce.  It will be up to you. Also, you can top this with as many mozarella cheese as you like. I have leftover mozarella cheese sticks so I used it instead to slightly thicken the sauce but you can choose shredded or mozarella slices as well.

One pan cheesy chicken pasta recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb chicken breast, cut into small strips or cubes
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup pasta sauce, any kind you choose
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/.2 cup mozarella cheese or 2 sticks or 3 slices 
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozarella cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil for sauteing

Procedure:
  • Heat cooking oil in a pan or wok. 
  • Add chicken breast and cook until no longer pink ( do not fully cook).
  • Add garlic and onion. Stir until just combined.
  • Add pasta sauce and water. Cover and bring to a boil.
  • Add oregano then morazella cheese. This will add thickness to the sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  • Add pasta. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes or until pasta is al dente. 
  • Stir-in pepper flakes (optional). Add 1/2 cup mozarella cheese. Stir to combine. 
  • Top with 1/2 cup shredded mozarella cheese. You can add more if desired.
  • Cover and cook until cheese is melted. About 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and enjoy.
  • Recipe yields 2-4 servings.​

Hi. I apologize for the late response. For some reason, I did not see this comment right away. Anyway, the pan that I'm using is HexClad. I am not sure if it's available in the Philippines.
