Looking for a budget-friendly dish? Aside from Sardines Omelette, you can make this delicious Sardines in tomato sauce with Misua and Sayote or Chayote. Very delicious and super easy to make. They are stir-fried in garlic and onion, simmered in it's own tomato sauce and water and added vegetables of choice and misua or thin flour noodles then seasoned with fish sauce or salt and pepper.

One of the best sardines dish you can serve your family that I am definitely sure they will enjoy.

I used sayote or chayote because I know not everyone will have access to patola (silk squash). If you are using patola, make sure to add it in the end and not before adding water which I did with sayote. Sayote is harder in texture compared to patola so I had to make sure it is cooked well enough before adding the other ingredients. I also used spicy sardines in tomato sauce. Once water is added, it will be mild and the soup is perfect. Give it a try and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Enjoy.
