Beef Tapa is a thinly sliced marinated beef top sirloin that is pan fried, served with garlic rice and fried eggs. This Beef Tapa has a combination of sweet, salty and garlicky flavors. It can be eaten any time of the day but it's a popular breakfast to many Filipinos.
The process is actually simple. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and salt. Stir and let sugar and salt dissolve. Then add ground pepper and chopped garlic.
After preparing the marinade, you can add it to the meat. Make sure the beef is fully coated with marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Turn at least once half way the marination time.
Pan-fry the meat in medium heat until beef is lightly brown.
Serve warm with garlic rice and sunny side up eggs. You can also serve and dip it in vinegar with red chili if you like.

HOW TO PREPARE:
NOTES: 1. Type and brand of soy sauce will affect the taste of your finished product. Some soy sauce are too salty, some are watery. Please make sure to get a good quality brand. 2. You can adjust the sugar if you prefer it light. Maybe 2 to 2 1/2 tbsp. |
