watch my video below how to cook Garlic Buttered Shrimp

Procedure:
  • Combine shrimp and sprite/7Up. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. Remove the shrimp and reserve marinade.
  • Heat butter in a wok or large pan.
  • Add the garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  • Add the marinated shrimp.
  • Stir until all well combined.
  • Add the pepper. Continue stirring until shrimp turns orange in color.
  • Add the reserved sprite/7up.
  • Cover and bring to a boil.
  • Immediately remove the shrimp (to avoid over cooking) leaving the sauce in the pan.
  • Add fish sauce and seasoning powder.
  •  Simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the sauce is reduced and slightly thickened.
  • Return the shrimp and stir until just combined with the sauce.
  • Transfer the shrimp on a serving plate and drizzle with extra sauce.
  • Serve and enjoy.

I ruined colossal shrimp because I read it as 2 tbsp seasoning. I used Tonys instead of 2 tsp. Other than that they were good.

Made this dish and it was delicious! Super authentic, especially I'd you use head on shrimps. I also added chopped onions in with the garlic and it was so yummy!
