These Ube Bars are one of the many breads being sold at bakeries in the Philippines. They are made of baked breads dipped in sweet purple yam syrup coated with dessicated coconut. It wasn't really my favorite because I find those commercial ones a bit hard or grainy. I am not sure if it is because they use old bread or over-baked bread so I thought of making this soft version.
