Moist Banana Bundt Cake

This Banana Bundt Cake recipe is moist and delicious. If you have made my previous recipes for  banana bread, well this one is a must-try as well. This is a little different. What makes it moist is the sour cream added to it. Plain yogurt can be substituted with sour cream if it is not available. What I like about this recipe is baking it in a bundt cake looks very elegant and presentable specially if it needs to be served during parties. Gorgeous even with simple powdered sugar dusting.
Super easy to prepare and a great recipe the whole crowd will truly enjoy.

Procedure:
  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Butter or grease and flour a 9-inch tube pan or bundt pan.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda and salt together and set aside.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add the vanilla and mashed banana.
  • Finally, mix in half of your dry ingredients.
  • Add all of the sour cream.
  • Then add the remainder of the flour mixture.
  • Spread the batter in the prepared bundt pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until a tester (toothpick or skewer) inserted in the cake comes out clean. Do not over-bake. Make sure to check before the set time.
  • (Check the cake after about 30 minutes and if it's browning too quickly, cover loosely with a foil tent.)
  • Cool the cake on a rack for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the edges to free the cake, invert it on a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  • Serve and Enjoy!

Wanted to leave a comment for how great this recipe is, it’s so straightforward and I really love making it for my family. I consider it quite reliable and have been using for years at this point though I wish I followed the though the advice to use a tent when baking waaaay sooner.
