Peanut Butter Cheesecake Brownies

Thank God to Baker's Premium Baking Chocolate for sharing this recipe on the package of their unsweetened chocolate bar. It is so delicious and easy to make! One of the best dessert bars I've made!
​Combining peanut butter, cream cheese and chocolate in one dessert is perfect! It is soft, moist and not overly sweet as I adjusted the sugar from the original recipe.  This is a brownie bar I know for sure the whole crowd will enjoy and will be gone in minutes. A must-try!

I used a 13 x 9 pan lined with greased parchment paper. The original recipe calls for a foil to make it but I used paper instead. Like I mentioned above, I also removed 1/4 cup sugar from their recipe but if you like it sweet you can add it to the recipe I wrote below. To make a beautiful swirl on top of this delicious brownie, just use a knife or skewer and run back and forth on the brownie batter. Please refer to my video below. Tip? Do not overbake. Mine was done in 40 minutes but I suggest to check before the set time. Use a toothpick to test. it doesn't have to come out totally cream. Some crumbs on it is fine as brownies continue to bake out of the oven.

​PEANUT BUTTER CHEESECAKE BROWNIES Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 4 oz (113g) unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1-3/4 cups + 1/2 cup  granulated sugar, divided
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Procedure:
  • Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 13 x 9 baking pan with greased parchment paper (bottom and sides).
  • In alarge microwavable bowl, combine unsweetened chocolate and butter. Microwave on high heat for 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
  • Add 1-3/4 cups sugar, mix well.
  • Stir in 4 eggs then and flour. Mix well. 
  • Pour into prepared pan. 
  • Beat cream cheese until creamy. 
  • Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Add egg and continue beating until well combined. 
  • Add peanut butter and mix until blended. 
  • Drop spoonful of mixture over brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  • Bake 40-45 minutes. Do not overbake. Make sure to check before the set time as oven temperature varies. Mine was done in 40 minutes.
  • Cool completely. 
  • Slice into bars. I made 28 pieces total.
  • Serve and enjoy!
